Water-struck klinker

Individual, lively surfaces with character: every brick is one of a kind thanks to traditional water-struck production.

Surface and properties

Water-struck klinker has a characteristic, slightly rough surface with browning at the brick edges. It is weather-resistant and durable, and suits high-quality facades and exposed masonry.

Joints and planning

As a rule, the bed joint is 10 mm and the head joint 8–10 mm. For rustic bricks such as water-struck klinker we recommend increasing the bed joint to 12–13 mm to absorb the deformation of the bricks.

All standard details are in the Klinker Detail planning manual. Our technical masonry planning supports you with anchoring, support angles and movement joints.

Ultima long format

The extra-long water-struck format: Ultima measures 468 × 108 × 38 mm, the length of two standard klinker bricks.
